This elegant guest house comes with an accessory that makes it unique in the Pokolbin region - a private golf course exclusively for the use of house guests!
This is no trimmed-down layout either, but a proper 9 hole, par 34 course that measures close to 3000 yards, with a full complement of water hazards and bunkers. Clubs are available and a driving range with practice net is available.
Externally, Woolshed Hill, a wide, elevated building enclosed with a broad verandah supported by ornate timber posts, evokes the "Queenslander" style. Inside, however, the mood is French provincial.
Antique furnishings and bunches of fresh flowers everywhere.
Three guest rooms are located in the main homestead, the guest room on the upper level having a private bathroom almost as big as the room itself, with a handsome Roman bath set along one wall, while the other two guest rooms on the lower level have ensuite facilities and garage parking.
More self-contained accommodation is tucked down the hillside, and set into the grounds surrounding the house, is a tennis court and swimming pool.
In addition to Woolshed Hill's golf course and charming accommodation, another good reason to stay is the Lynch family's food.
Lynne and Ron, together with their daughter Kristin, present all the trimmings of starched napery and gleaming silverware and is served in the handsome baronial dining room.
Sumptuous breakfasts are also a speciality.
Woolshed Hill estate is set in a particularly serene pocket of Pokolbin, in a tranquil countryside with glorious views over the Brokenback mountain range, yet within easy reach of the countless wineries and other attractions of the lower Hunter.
Accommodation for those discerning guests who seek an alternative getaway, without those "hotel/motel" noises!

WEEKENDS (FRIDAY /SATURDAY)

Bed and breakfast (small groups) - $80 per person per night ( based on double occupancy).
Single person in room - $95.
Group bookings (minimum 10 adults).
Self catering acccommodation and full use of all facilities.
Weekends - 2 nights - $175 per person.
3 nights - $ 200 per person.
Long weekends - minimum $200 per person.

MID WEEK (SUNDAY TO THURSDAY)

Bed and full breakfast (small groups) - $50 per person (based on double occupancy).
Single person in room - $65.
Group bookings - self catering accommodation - $50 per person per night.
Children 10 years and under - half price.

IN HOUSE DINING

Formal dining can be arranged in our private dining room which has a capacity of 22 persons. A set menu consists of an appetiser with complimentary champagne, entree, sorbet, main meal, dessert, coffee, port and chocolates at $50 per person including corkage - BYO bottled wine.
Informal meals can be arranged and menus can be tailored to meet any requirement.
All local produce and fresh foods are carefully selected with a variety of cuisines available
